Logo for: Threshold Visitor Management Systems

About this blog

We write articles mainly about visitor management, which helps you to know who is (or has been) in your facility. It is just part of an organization’s physical security processes that protect people and property within and around a building or campus.

The value of signing in

by Josette Lumbruno

Threshold are “security you can see,” with products that show who is authorized to be in your facility — and who is not.

It’s not what you call it, but how you use it.

Visitor Pass can be and is described by many terms: visitor badge, sticker, tag, label. Quite simply, they all answer the important question, “What do I use to identify visitors to a school, healthcare facility, or any other type of building?”

It does not take a rocket scientist to understand the value of identifying, signing in, and badging a visitor to your facility. Whether the visitor is a parent, vendor, contractor, or volunteer, the solution has to meet your needs. These may include: making sure badges can’t be forged, distinguishing one kind of visitor from another, or preventing badges from being reused. Adding a logo, color-coding, or expiring option provides a layer of security and safety to every visitor.

Whatever you call it, make sure your visitor management solution does what you need it to.
