Innovator of visitor management systems brings new name and products to GSX

In January of this year Data Management, Inc., owner of Visitor Pass Solutions, launched a new name, confirming its focus in the security industry.

The company now goes by the name “THRESHOLD,” a term evocative of its expertise in visitor management systems, with a new tagline, “the gateway to stronger security.”

“Our products are the first line of defense for our customers,” said owner and CEO Dan Hincks. “With our help, they ensure that the only people who cross their threshold are those who belong there — and have been so identified.”

On September 10-12, at the Global Security Exchange (GSX) at McCormick Place in Chicago, Ill., THRESHOLD will display two product innovations:

1. A time-saving Kiosk version of its simple-to-use visitor management software, eVisitor. The Kiosk’s touchscreen application enables visitors to check themselves into an organization’s building and then pick up their badges from an administrator at the front desk. This eVisitor Kiosk comes in two models: Floor-Standing and Tabletop.
   
   
2. Rolls of expiring visitor badges that can be printed in full color on Epson inkjet printers. This capability makes an organization’s badges stand out with its color logo and clear, distinct color photos of its visitors. Expiring, or “self-voiding,” badges change color overnight, from white to a bright pink, to discourage visitors from reusing them and to prevent unauthorized entry into the building. These badges can be printed from any visitor management software, including THRESHOLD’S eVisitor Software.
